Is it possible to put a 125cc on a 50cc scooter. Specifically the roughhouse 50. I have one and the engine is shot on it. I wanted to upgrade to a 125 or 150 scooter but if it’s possible to just put a bigger engine I might do that. Tell me your wisdom.
But I read thet this is costly (it can cost even 1000 PLN) and you can drive only mopeds to 50 cc with it. In case of license A1 - you need to have 16 years and you can drive motorbikes to 125 cc with it. In case of licenses A2 and A you need to have 18 years. A2 is for bikes with power lower than 35 kW, license A is for all bikes.
So short of buying a separate 50cc frame and 125 motor and combining them or chopping two bikes up (defeating the point of trying to save money), you can't ride or insure a 125 as a 50. A restrictor won't change anything, it may be as slow as a 50 but in the eyes of the law it's still a 125 and still illegal for you to ride.

After you’ve completed CBT, you can ride a: moped if you’re 16 or over; motorcycle up to 125cc and with a power output of up to 11kW if you’re 17 or over; You must use L plates (L or D
5 days ago · A “moped” is any self-propelled scooter that has no more than three wheels. Colorado law does not permit the use of gas-powered mopeds with engines larger than 50cc. When it comes to electric mopeds, engines may not exceed 4,476 watts of power. Colorado does not require a special license for mopeds.
